Vivien Ngai, LMHC

Counselor

Vivien Ngai holds a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from New York University, along with a Master of Arts in Educational Ministries from Wheaton College, IL. She is currently enrolled in her third year of study in the Marriage and Family Therapy Ph.D. Program at Eastern University. Vivien works collaboratively with individuals, couples, and families, as well as adolescents. She specializes in the areas of relationships including single or married issues, parenting, multicultural issues, and intergenerational conflicts. In her professional school counselor role, she has many years of experience working with students in a competitive specialized high school environment in New York City.

Equipped with her ability to speak several Chinese dialects, she works relentlessly with diverse groups of students and families to provide preventive and restorative support. Vivien has additional training in Prepare/Enrich pre-marital and marital counseling. She has a deep passion for helping families build on their strengths and foster healthy parent-child attachments. As a pastor’s wife in NYC since 1992, she is enthusiastic about assisting pastoral families in thriving in ministry and practicing self-care. Vivien has three children, two cats, and a husband who loves to cook.
