This October, help us raise $50,000 to make mental health care reachable for people in our community who are waiting at the edge of healing, and can’t get there alone.
For thirty-eight years, a man waited beside the Pool of Bethesda. Healing was in sight, but out of reach. “I have no one to help me into the pool,” he said.
Across our community, people are lying at that same edge, carrying unresolved trauma, chronic anxiety, addiction, and spiritual despair. They want to get well. They just need someone to help them in.
Some can’t afford the care they need. Others never reach us at all.
During October, we are hoping to raise $50,000 to carry this vision forward. Everyone who gives to the fund this month will be recognized as a founding member and part of the first community to stand at the water's edge with those waiting for help.
Your gift, of any amount, does two things:
It makes specialized care affordable. Your gift underwrites counseling sessions with higher-level clinicians trained in trauma, addictions, and other complex needs, for under-resourced individuals and families who come to RCS. Deep pain requires deep care, and cost should never be the reason someone settles for less help than their situation demands.
What it looks like
Someone who couldn’t have afforded it sits down with a clinician trained for exactly what they’re carrying.
It equips the leaders who notice. This fund will help under-resourced churches join our Fellows Program or Leaders Training, so pastors can recognize the signs of a congregant in need and confidently make a referral.
What it looks like
A pastor notices the quiet signs in a congregant, and knows exactly where to send them for help.
These are the people who gave in our founding month, opening the door to care for someone who couldn’t reach it alone. Every name here stands with those still waiting for help.
