Counselor

Laura holds a master’s degree in Biblical Studies from Dallas Theological Seminary, in addition to a Master's in Counseling from the Townsend Institute at Concordia University Irvine. She is passionate about collaborating with clients on their journey towards deep and lasting change that goes beyond symptom reduction. In the context of the safe and supportive counseling relationship, clients can experience healing and grow in their relationships with God and others. Laura uses an integrative counseling approach influenced by attachment theory, interpersonal neurobiology, and experiential therapy. Her extensive international travel as well as refugee ministry experience have contributed to her appreciation for diverse cultural perspectives.

Laura resides on the Upper East Side, where she enjoys baking, good coffee, and exploring New York City with her family. She is an active member at Trinity Baptist Church, where her husband serves as Lead Pastor.
