Thomas obtained his Bachelors in Sociology from Lehman College and MSW degree from Alliance University. He received training in the following modalities; Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Multi Systemic Family Therapy (MST), Advance Behavioral Analysis (ABA). Thomas also utilizes his faith, such as Bible scriptures and prayer, for clients that would like to incorporate it into their sessions.

Thomas' areas of treatment include: complex trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, anxiety, religious trauma, youth experiencing Adverse Childhood Experience (ACES). He has 17 years of human service experience in various capacities. He has worked as a preschool teacher, with youth & adults on the spectrum and with other disabilities, and within the foster care system.

Thomas was raised mostly in the Bronx and the Lower East Side. His hobbies include; spoken word poetry, basketball, video games, chess, skydiving, hiking and research. He hopes to conduct studies on the relationship between epigenetics and interpersonal resilience in the near future. He also hopes to conduct studies on mood and personality disorders. Thomas is married with two toddlers.
